Corkle is a product of HodgesNet. HodgesNet is the data controller for any personal data described in this policy. You can reach us any time at hq@corkle.io.

Corkle hasn’t launched yet, so there is very little. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and the date you signed up.

We also keep basic technical logs that any website needs to run safely - things like request times and a short-lived, hashed record of the network address a sign-up came from, so the form can’t be spammed.

One reason only: to let you know when Corkle launches, and to send the occasional short note about progress before then.

Our lawful basis is your consent when you sign up, and our legitimate interest in telling people who asked to be told. Technical logs rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.

Your email address is stored in our database, hosted on our infrastructure providers’ managed platforms. We use Resend as our email service provider for sending messages to the waitlist.

These providers process data on our instructions only, under appropriate contractual safeguards.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we don’t share it for anyone else’s marketing.

We keep your email address until our launch communications come to an end, or until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it - whichever comes first. Technical logs are kept only briefly.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw your consent at any time. Email hq@corkle.io and we’ll act promptly.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled things, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

We only use what’s strictly necessary to run the site. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies here.

This policy covers a pre-launch waitlist page. When the full Corkle product launches we’ll replace it with a fuller policy, and we’ll tell waitlist members before that happens.
